This page gives our Supporters an update on Adopt A Tank's current projects
What We Are Doing
Adopt A Tank, Inc. is providing 2,200-gallon tanks at a cost of $3,000 each, completely installed with water filters, faucets, and security. This is enough to serve at least two school-going children with the average 3-gallons-a-day for a year. In collaboration with the local communities, Adopt A Tank intends to locate at least 1,000 of these tanks in Primary Schools (Elementary Schools) within 100 miles of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.
Adopt A Tank Inc. is tackling the problem of water availability by ensuring that it is available in the most critical areas: schools. This ensures that:
  • Children have access to clean, safe drinking water in a central location, i.e. school
  • School-going Children can stay in school, indeed, are attracted to learning because of the provision of basic needs (as a substantial number of schools have also implemented school-lunch systems)
  • Communities are invested in managing water resources provided by Adopt A Tank Inc. by ensuring the security and maintenance/repair of the tanks if/when needed.
What You Can Do
